Our boxing program is taught the “Old School” way, with the key emphasis on technique and conditioning. You will learn the fundamentals of foot work refine and perfect your combinations, offense and defense and master the heavy bag, speed bag, double end bag, work the focus mitts with your trainers and learn proper training techniques.

Boxing is often known as the "Sweet Science" and considered among many, including Bruce Lee as a martial art. Bruce Lee was the first to integrate western Boxing as an alternative to the classical strikes in the eastern martial arts. While it primarily focuses on punches and defense, Boxing gives the martial artist a sense of timing, head and body movement, footwork, and broken rhythm. It is also the common thread linking other styles (Jun Fan Martial Arts, Muay Thai, and Savate).

An extremely effective weapons-based Filipino style of martial arts developed for combat and use in the battle field; founded in 1932 in Cebu, Philippines by twelve of the most renowned Eskrima Masters as a way to promote Filipino combat systems and cultures. The name Doce Pares which means "Twelve Pairs" in Spanish was selected as a way to honor the original twelve masters who founded the organization. Doce Pares Eskrima is made up of several systems and sub systems and over the years has been coined a “multi-system” as a result of the martial art backgrounds and influence of the founding masters. Similarly today, each Doce Pares Eskrima master you study under will have a unique flair based on there personal backgrounds and combat experience. This makes Doce Pares a very eclectic system which is always growing and evolving to keep up with the times and the ever changing world of combat.

The bulk of your training in our Doce Pares Eskrima class will be with traditional Filipino weapons systems as well as an intensive exploration of various dynamic, effective combat focused empty hand systems. However, our class will also teach you how to utilize anything and everything to your advantage should the situation ever arise. Everyday objects such as car keys, the chair you’re sitting on, or even the jacket you’re wearing are all effective self defense weapons.

Muay Thai was founded in Thailand in 1921 and is the national sport of Thailand. Muay Thai has since become an international phenomenon with its widespread success making it one of the most respected forms of combat sport. Muay Thai, also known as “The Science of Eight Limbs” for its use of 2 fists, 2 knees, 2 legs, and 2 elbows. Muay Thai was once called the martial art of the kings because of the fact that in 1914 the sons of the King Sen. Muajng Ma fought until their death for the throne of their father.

Three Hour Program

What you learn in our Three hour women’s self-defense class you will keep for life! Our goal is to help you develop a successful plan now before something happens or before something happens again! We utilize a scenario based training approach dedicated to helping women learn how to:

  • Improve their concentration and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Protect themselves against various types of attack scenarios.
  • Maximize damage in minimal time with minimal risk

The Agenda: Class will begin with basic stretching to warm up your muscles. The first two and a half hours of the class will be dedicated to hands-on self-defense instruction; we will discuss and point out vital target areas. You will be taught how to attack these areas with power to disable your attacker and escape. You will be taught blocking, striking, grab escapes, confrontational skills, and body language skills using your body’s natural defense mechanisms, while introducing new concepts and techniques to maximize learning and develop potentially life-saving reactions, also what environmental weapons may be at your disposal. We reserve the remaining half hour of class for scenario specific questions.

No Gi Submission Wrestling is also known as known as submission fighting, submission grappling, sport grappling, or simply as No-Gi. We will teach you takedown and takedown defense, the ground control positions from the top and bottom, enabling you to defend yourself in any position. The No Gi Submission Wrestling class is made up of a wide variety of various grappling arts including:

The technical side of No Gi Submission Wrestling classes focus predominantly on the "up close" work needed to compete in a cage or ring fight or, indeed, the street. Clinch work, striking, takedowns, submissions, "ground n' pound" and escapes are all covered in detail. Training can be quite hard mentally but at the same time thoroughly rewarding. For anyone wishing to compete in any submission sport or MMA will need to do this class.

This is without a doubt the ultimate way to train! Learn an amazing amount of technical detail in a very short period of time as Sensei teaches tweaks and hones your skills with the close attention to detail that he known for as an instructor. You’ll be amazed at how much you can learn through private training.

You will progress much faster as you will learn the movements and postures under close supervision. Any mistakes will be corrected immediately thus helping you to develop a strong foundation. Improve any aspect of your fight game. You can ask to work on something specific. Sensei also offers Semi Private training for groups of 2 students or more.

EACH LESSON IS 1 HOUR and is by appointment only. A lesson may be split into two sessions of 30 minutes each. It is recommended that you book your lesson at least one week in advance in order to secure your desired day and time. Every lesson must be paid for in ADVANCE or at the start of the lesson. There is a 24-HOUR CANCELLATION POLICY for all Private Lessons. If it becomes necessary to cancel your appointment, we must hear from you at least 24 hours before that lesson in order to avoid charging you for that lesson.

Private lessons can be arranged at a location convenient for you to suit your schedule.
